A tornado touched down near the Army-Navy Country Club and caused damage to light poles in The Pentagon parking lot. It crossed the Potomac River before moving onshore at the George Mason Memorial over the Tidal Basin. Multiple hardwood and softwood trees were snapped or uprooted in this area. Damage continued into downtown Washington, D.C., with the St. Aloysius Church sustaining roof damage.
